Transdiagnostic Global Impression scales for Informants

The TGI scales provide a global overview of the clinical profile of the person you care for across four key domains over the past 7 days, based on your observations.

Please select the domain you wish to assess:

  • Psychopathology – to assess psychiatric symptoms
  • Somatic Symptoms and Signs – to assess physical symptoms and adverse events
  • Functioning – to assess areas of daily living

Satisfaction can be assessed via the patient-rated version (available by selecting the patient option).

In addition, a Caregiver Burden Scale is available to assess your own functioning and the level of burden you experience in relation to providing care.

Once you select a scale, rate each item one by one using a 1–7 scale (1 = normal / not at all, 7 = extreme), reflecting your assessment of the average severity over the past week based on what you have observed.

After completing the ratings, you will see a symptom map, which visually summarizes the results. This overview highlights areas of greatest difficulty at a glance and can support discussion among clinicians, patients, and caregivers, as well as tracking changes over time.

You can download, print, or save the symptom map for documentation or follow-up.
